Legal
Terms of service
Last updated
These are the rules for using the service, written in plain language.
The service
Ringhero is an inbound AI receptionist, a website chat, and a CRM, provided by Solve Trend. It answers calls that your phone company forwards to it, follows the playbook you set, and sends you a summary.
The service is inbound only. It never places outbound calls.
Not an emergency service
Ringhero is not an emergency service and does not replace 911 or a utility's emergency line.
On an emergency trigger the receptionist gives a scripted safety line and alerts the contacts you have named. It never troubleshoots a hazard and it does not give medical, legal, or safety advice beyond the scripted lines.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your on-call and escalation contact numbers current. Emergency alerts and transfers go to the numbers you provide.
- Make sure your business profile, prices, hours, and policies are accurate. The receptionist states what you give it.
- Set up and maintain call forwarding with your phone company, and test it after any change to your phone plan.
- Make sure transcribing calls, with the notice the greeting gives, meets the law where you and your callers are.
- Hold the rights to any document you upload.
AI disclosure and transcription notice
Every greeting discloses that the caller is speaking with an AI assistant. This is a universal rule and cannot be disabled.
Every call is transcribed, and every greeting says so right after the AI disclosure. This cannot be disabled either. Call audio is not recorded.
Transcripts are deleted 90 days after the call. Summaries and leads are kept, as the privacy policy describes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Place or attempt to place outbound calls, robocalls, or telemarketing.
- Collect payment card details by voice.
- Screen tenants or applicants in a way that discriminates, for example by family status or source of income.
- Mislead callers about who they are speaking with.
- Break the law or the rules of your phone company.
Plans and billing
- Plans and done-for-you packages are billed in Canadian dollars, before tax.
- Plans include a number of minutes each month. Minutes over the plan are billed at the overage rate shown on the pricing page.
- Each plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing.
- When a plan's minutes run out, the receptionist keeps answering; extra minutes are billed at the overage rate.
- Done-for-you packages: 50% of the setup fee is due up front and 50% at go-live, then monthly, with 30 days' notice to cancel.
Who owns what
You own your business content: your profile, documents, prices, and the records of your calls. Solve Trend owns the platform and the templates.
Data and privacy
We process your callers' information on your behalf, as described in the privacy policy. A data processing agreement is available to every customer.
Availability and missed calls
We work to answer every forwarded call, and the receptionist falls back to taking a message if it cannot load your settings. Phone networks and third-party providers can fail, and we cannot promise that every call will be answered or routed correctly.
Limits on liability for missed or misrouted calls will be set out here once this page has been reviewed by a lawyer.
Ending the service
You can cancel a self-serve plan at any time. Remember to turn off call forwarding with your phone company when you cancel, so calls ring your own phone again.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
